Hi and thanks for stopping by!
I am a stay-at-home mom to a very rambunctious almost 6-year-old little boy.
I’m also a wife, a runner (when I get the chance), lover of dogs and all things gardening.
Several years ago I started growing my own flowers….just to see if I could do it really. I got this idea of trying to be a Flower Farmer. To grow beautiful flowers all day and then sell them or give them away (which I did my first year.)
But then I got pregnant so all that went on hold……I dabbled with my perennial gardens a bit but there wasn’t any planting solely for cutting purposes.
Fast forward a few years…… we bought some property in 2017 so we could get out of the city. We are technically still in the city (the out-skirts), but it doesn’t feel like it…..so we call it “the farm”.
The three of us live on 5 acres along with our 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 remaining very lucky free-range chickens ( the hawks, unfortunately, have had the rest for lunch.)

On our little farm, we are renovating the main house and after 5 years of my husband coming home from work to work some more, we are very close to moving in.
Our long-term goal with these 5 acres is to become as sustainable as possible whilst making a little money. My husband loves to grow food. While my favorite is the flowers…growing the perennials and annuals from seed. And now that my son is a little older I can dive head-first into growing flowers for cutting again.
We have a decent patch of blueberries and raspberries, which will only keep growing, and got our first and hopefully not the last Beehive 2 years ago.
We just added to our mini orchard of apples with a Cherry, Plum, Pear, and Peach, along with some figs, pomegranates, and grapes…..it is a work in progress…you know what they say, “the best time to plant a fruit tree, was 5 years ago”.
I will still do my best to share everything I learn from the flowers to the Veggies, fruit trees, and mini-city farm life in general.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our little slice of heaven!
